3 Attorney always ask 5 questions useless to start :
how old r u? what is your last grade? in Vietnames? how many hours you work typically in a days? any Overtime? how often you work ? how heavy you can lift?
The key: when do you stop working in 2006? Why you do not look for work ?
then back to basic questions: do you take medication? do you know what type? what pain ? do you do daily chores ?
the key: what you CAN NOT DO
However judge ask:
what language you speak with supervisor in your company? the supervisor speak English [after several questions, it is discovered that the lead in the company do the translation / interpreting ]
As a staff: NEVER INITIATE ASK.
[English speaking CIS once alerted me by asking "Are you trying to explain to me something or interpreting something said from him?"
THIS IS NO-NO!
Besides, the trend is INTERPRETING MONITOR BY LANGUAGE LINE.
would monitoring helps ? Not necessary because it only confused and the attention is put too overly on interpreting errors. In long run, expenses high is one shortfalls. Will good interpreter care to stay in interrpeting in court? Only the PASSIONATE ONE LIKE ME.
